With every update, Roblox’s Type Soul keeps evolving, and so does the meta. One of the most important decisions you’ll make early on is choosing your race. That choice—Soul Reaper, Arrancar, or Quincy—shapes your abilities, progression, and overall playstyle.

Understanding the Races

Each race in Type Soul has its own identity, drawing inspiration from the world of Bleach:

  • Soul Reapers – The most balanced and versatile race. They mix melee combat with Kido abilities and progress through Shikai and Bankai, unlocking varied fighting styles.
  • Arrancars – Masters of raw power and aggression. They evolve through Menos, Adjuchas, and Vasto Lorde forms, ultimately achieving Resurrección for devastating combat abilities.
  • Quincies – Tactical fighters built around ranged combat. Their progression focuses on unlocking a Schrift, which grants powerful abilities to control battles from a distance.

2025 Race Tier List

S-Tier: Soul Reaper

The reigning powerhouse of Type Soul.

  • Versatility: Adaptable to any situation, from PvE grinds to high-stakes PvP. Bankai abilities vary from massive AoE nukes to deadly single-target finishers.
  • Balanced Kit: Strong offense, defense, and mobility make them beginner-friendly but still rewarding for advanced players.
  • Popularity: They dominate the player base thanks to their consistency and reliability.

If you’re new or want the safest bet for long-term play, Soul Reaper is the clear winner.

A-Tier: Arrancar

A brutal choice for those who like going on the offensive.

  • High Damage: Resurrección forms pack massive damage, letting skilled players overwhelm opponents quickly.
  • Mobility: Many abilities give gap-closing power and constant pressure.
  • Skill-Based: While strong, Arrancars demand mastery of combos and timing. For aggressive players, the payoff is huge.

Not as adaptable as Soul Reapers, but in the right hands, Arrancars are terrifying.

B-Tier: Quincy

The sharpshooters of Type Soul, specializing in control and tactics.

  • Ranged Superiority: Perfect for players who prefer staying at a distance and chipping away with powerful shots.
  • Beginner-Friendly: Their straightforward, ranged kit is great for learning without diving into complex melee combat.
  • Current Standing: Recent nerfs toned down their effectiveness, keeping them below Soul Reapers and Arrancars. Still, in team fights or with the right build, they shine.

Quincies may not dominate 1v1s, but they’re reliable in group play and perfect for strategic players.
