The NFL has expanded its Super Bowl LIX offerings, revealing today that Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty, Lauren Daigle, and Ledisi will headline the pregame entertainment.
Super Bowl LIX is set to take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9, 2025, and will be broadcast live on Fox. The impressive lineup was curated to celebrate New Orleans’ rich musical heritage, featuring artists with deep ties to Louisiana. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with this incredible group of performers to honor the musical traditions of New Orleans and Louisiana as a whole,” said Seth Dudowsky, the NFL’s head of music. “The Super Bowl is a unique occasion that brings fans together globally, and this year’s performers will capture the vibrant spirit and soulful sounds of the region as we kick off Super Bowl LIX with an unforgettable celebration.”
Jon Batiste, a Grammy-winning, Oscar-winning New Orleans native, will perform the national anthem. Trombone Shorty, another Grammy winner from New Orleans, will join Lauren Daigle for a rendition of “America the Beautiful.”
Grammy winner Ledisi, also from New Orleans, will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
In 2023, Reba McEntire, Post Malone, and Andra Day took center stage for the pregame show.
Kendrick Lamar, a Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize winner, was previously announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl LIX Apple Music halftime show, presented by Roc Nation.
