The latest trailer for Disney's live-action adaptation of Snow White has been unveiled, offering a closer look at Rachel Zegler's vocal performance, the seven dwarfs, and Gal Gadot's portrayal of the evil queen.
Directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer, The Amazing Spider-Man), this new version of the iconic 1937 animated classic follows Snow White as she escapes into the forest after her jealous mother, the wicked queen, orders her death. There, she discovers the magic of the seven dwarfs living in a secluded cottage.
After making her big-screen debut in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story, Zegler returns to showcase her singing talents in this film. Gadot stars as the villainous queen, alongside Andrew Burnap, Martin Klebba, and Ansu Kabia. The screenplay is penned by Greta Gerwig (Barbie) and Erin Cressida Wilson (The Girl on the Train).
The film has sparked significant controversy in recent years. In January 2022, Peter Dinklage criticized the portrayal of dwarfs in the film, prompting Disney to announce it would consult with the community. Zegler has also faced backlash from right-wing groups after her comments about the original story’s focus on Snow White finding love.”
Snow White is set to hit theaters on March 21, 2025. You can watch the trailer below
