Nearly a decade after the original Moana enchanted audiences

and has already set impressive records, grossing a staggering $57.5 million on its opening day from 4,200 locations. Early projections suggest the film will rake in at least $175 million over its first five days, surpassing Frozen 2‘s Thanksgiving weekend record of $125 million.
The new adventure follows Moana (voiced by Auliʻi Cravalho) as she reunites with a diverse crew to embark on a thrilling journey across the vast seas of Oceania, after receiving a mysterious call from her ancestors. As with the first film, the sequel promises breathtaking visuals, catchy tunes, and heartwarming moments.
For now, Moana 2 is exclusively showing in theaters, with a planned UK release on Friday, November 29, 2024.
