Liam Payne, a member of the boy band One Direction, has tragically passed away at the age of 31.
The singer died after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as reported by the Associated Press. Pablo Policicchio, the communications director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, confirmed that Payne “had jumped from the balcony of his room.”
Payne was renowned for his distinctive falsettos, contributing to the band’s hit songs like “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Best Song Ever,” “Story of My Life,” and “Night Changes.” One Direction is one of the best-selling boy bands in history, with over 70 million records sold worldwide during their active years from 2010 to 2016.
