New York: At its highly anticipated “Made by Google” event, Google introduced the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, a device that blends futuristic AI with cutting-edge foldable engineering. While the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro impressed audiences with their on-device AI, the Fold version takes things a step further—positioning itself as a showcase of Google’s best hardware and software innovations.

Built to Last: The First Truly Durable Foldable

One of the biggest highlights is durability. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold becomes the world’s first foldable smartphone with an IP68 rating, ensuring protection against both dust and water—something that has long been a challenge for foldables.

This resilience is made possible by Google’s newly designed gearless hinge, crafted from multi-alloy steel. According to the company, it can survive more than a decade of regular folding and unfolding. The frame itself is built from aerospace-grade aluminum, making the device both strong and lightweight.

AI at Its Core: Smarter Multitasking & Photography

The phone is powered by Google’s Tensor G5 processor, paired with the on-device Gemini Nano AI model, running on Android 16. These upgrades allow the Fold to offer smarter, faster, and more intuitive features—perfectly optimized for its dual-screen form factor.
