William James Adams Jr., known professionally as will.i.am, has released an updated version of his anthem in support of Kamala Harris.
Over 15 years after his pro-Obama anthem “Yes We Can,” the seven-time Grammy winner officially endorsed the vice president and Democratic nominee with the music video for his new single, “Yes She Can.” The track encourages fans to head to the polls on Election Day.
In a post on social media, will.i.am stated: “Witness the power of community and unity as we come together with ‘Yes She Can.’ This is a heartfelt anthem celebrating Kamala Harris and the power of every individual. With Election Day just around the corner, I wanted to score the movement and create a call to action—a promise of what we can achieve together. Join me as we shine a spotlight not only on the journey of Kamala Harris and the change that’s coming, but also on the everyday heroes and #PowerfulWomen who breathe life into the world. This is a celebration of resilience, hope, and an unstoppable spirit.”
He continued, “Celebrating mothers and single mothers, stepmothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, wives, best friends, fearless warriors, queens, princesses, presidents, CEOs, doctors, nurses, coders, scientists, astronauts, researchers, preachers, caretakers, lawmakers, nurturers, teachers, tutors, professors, entrepreneurs, bosses, and the doorway to LIFE that women are… FEEL the rhythm of change led by the PEOPLE, for the PEOPLE.”
