Steven Soderbergh has a couple of exciting films on the horizon, including the much-anticipated genre film Presence (which we’ve covered extensively).

But another film that has everyone buzzing is Black Bag, a star-studded thriller that just dropped its trailer.

Led by Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett, the film centers on a husband-and-wife duo who are both legendary intelligence agents. Blanchett plays Kathryn Woodhouse, who is suspected of betraying her country. As the drama unfolds, her husband George, played by Fassbender, faces an impossible dilemma—loyalty to his wife or loyalty to his nation.

The impressive cast also features Marisa Abela, Tom Burke, Naomie Harris, Regé-Jean Page, and Pierce Brosnan, adding to the excitement.

With its gripping premise, Black Bag looks like Soderbergh is returning to the fun and thrilling territory of his Ocean’s films.

Black Bag will be released by Universal Pictures in the UK on March 14, 2025, so there isn’t much longer to wait!
