At Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour stop in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 17,
the singer’s show took a hilarious twist when Saturday Night Live star Marcello Hernández brought his fan-favorite character, Domingo, to the stage. The unexpected cameo had the crowd roaring with laughter and excitement.
As part of her tour tradition, Carpenter, 25, picks a lucky fan from the audience to “arrest” before performing her song “Juno.” This time, the spotlight was on Hernández’s Domingo, who made his presence known with a loud and playful shout: “Sabrina, I’m here!“
The audience immediately recognized the character, known from an SNL sketch where Domingo’s wild antics are front and center. In the skit, Domingo is introduced as the charming yet cheeky character who allegedly hooked up with the bride at her bachelorette party. The remix of Carpenter’s song “Espresso” plays in the background, creating the perfect comedic backdrop for Domingo’s grand entrance.
With his signature swagger, Domingo told the crowd, “I’m the cute boy with the blue jacket and the thick accent!” The crowd went wild as the SNL character continued, remixing Carpenter’s “Bed Chem” and creating a moment that was both funny and unforgettable.
But it didn’t stop there. When Carpenter asked Domingo if he had anything else to say, he took the opportunity to break into song, serenading the audience with lyrics like: “Came all the way / Had to explain / Direct from Domingo / Sabrina’s a friend / She’s like my sis / But I would hook up though.” Naturally, the crowd erupted in laughter and applause.
Blushing from the playful moment, Carpenter handed Domingo a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs as a fun gift, adding another layer of humor to the interaction.
Earlier in the tour, Sabrina had another special surprise in store for her fans: a surprise performance with none other than Christina Aguilera. The two powerhouse vocalists teamed up for a stunning rendition of “Ain’t No Other Man,” followed by “What a Girl Wants,” sending the audience into a frenzy. Afterward, the two shared a heartwarming hug, with Aguilera telling Carpenter, “I love you so much.”
Carpenter, who’s long cited Aguilera as a major influence, shared a touching memory of hearing Aguilera’s voice for the first time, recalling how it inspired her to pursue music.
From the hilarious antics of Domingo to the star-studded surprise with Christina Aguilera, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour is proving to be one of the most memorable events of the year!
