Rocket League is going to become free-to-play on all systems

Rocket League developer Psyonix has revealed that it’s vehicle based football match-up will be moving to the Epic Games Store and getting allowed to-play on all systems.

The famous multiplayer game Rocket League recently declared that it is going free to play. As indicated by developers Psyonix, “After almost five years, a huge number of players, and billions of soccar matches played, it’s an ideal opportunity to discuss the following section of Rocket League.” The post on the website specifies that starting later this mid year, the game is going allowed to play.

New PC players should download Rocket League from the Epic Games Store. Obviously, you’ll need an Epic Games account also, in case you’re on PC. Truth be told, there are focal points of having an Epic Games represent each Rocket League player, be it on PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. That is on the grounds that Psyonix is bringing cross-stage movement to Rocket League as it goes allowed to-play, which implies your advancement, things, and Competitive Rank will extend to different stages.

Apparently, the core gameplay will remain the same, but the main menus are being refined to make exploring the game easier. The developer are revamping and improving major features like Tournaments and Challenges. They are also introducing cross-platform progression to the game.

Rocket League will release on the Epic Games Store on PC the same time it goes free to play. This version of the game will be identical to the version found on other platforms, and will feature cross-platform play anywhere you play the game, including between the Epic Games Store and Steam.

Once Rocket League goes free to play, anyone who already owns it on any platform (including Steam) will be able to play and enjoy the game with full support for future updates and features. However, the Steam version will no longer be available to download for new players. Anyone who has played Rocket League online before the launch of free to play will be rewarded with Legacy status and new cosmetic items will be available.

Once available on the Epic Games Store, Steam players will be unable to download the game from the launcher. No specific date of when the transition will happen has been specified as of yet.
