Black Ops 7 Season 06 Adds Halloween-Themed Multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone and Endgame Content

Activision has officially revealed Season 06 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone, and the update is called The Haunting.

The new season launches on September 17, 2026, at 9 AM PT across all supported platforms.

This is not a small seasonal update. Activision is bringing new multiplayer maps, Zombies content, Endgame activities, Warzone changes, new weapons, a new Battle Pass and a large Halloween event.

The update also introduces a DOOM-themed Event Pass, giving players another way to unlock themed rewards during the season.

The Haunting is clearly designed around horror, darkness and Halloween, but it also adds several gameplay changes that could make Season 06 important for competitive and long-term players.

Haunted Hollow Transforms Warzone

One of the biggest parts of Season 06 is the transformation of Haven's Hollow into Haunted Hollow.

The familiar Resurgence location has been heavily changed by supernatural events.

Players will find new environmental details, altered locations and mysterious discoveries throughout the map.

The Lumbermill is engulfed in flames, the Mansion contains a strange gravity vortex and cosmic tentacles dominate parts of the skyline.

The map is also filled with clues about an occult event taking place across the area.

Activision says the transformed location will include new traversal opportunities, secrets and encounters.

This means Haunted Hollow is not simply a visual Halloween reskin.

Players will have reasons to explore the changed environment and learn how the new version of the map affects their normal routes and strategies.

The Ghost Train Returns

One of the most unusual additions to Haunted Hollow is the Ghost Train.

The train moves between reality and an apparently supernatural state.

Players can interact with it to access useful resources including Supply Boxes, a Buy Station and a Mystery Box.

However, the train does not remain available permanently.

Players need to manage their time and reach it before it disappears again.

This creates another risk-versus-reward situation during matches.

Trick or Treat Pumpkins Add Random Rewards

Halloween pumpkins will also appear around Haunted Hollow.

Players can interact with them for potential rewards, but there is also a chance of receiving a dangerous surprise.

Some rewards include temporary Zombies-style powerups that provide short-term gameplay benefits.

That should make exploration more interesting because players will have to decide whether the possible reward is worth the risk.

Giant Infected Comes to Warzone

Season 06 also brings back Giant Infected, a 64-player limited-time mode.

The mode divides players into Survivors and Infected.

Eight players are randomly selected as Infected at the beginning of the match.

Their objective is to infect everyone else.

The Survivors, meanwhile, must work together to construct and activate a DNA Bomb capable of stopping the outbreak.

Because the mode takes place exclusively on Haunted Hollow, players will experience the Halloween transformation while fighting through a completely different style of Warzone match.

The mode should also create chaotic late-game situations as the number of Infected increases and the Survivors become increasingly surrounded.

Black Ops 7 Gets New Multiplayer Maps

Season 06 is not only focused on Warzone.

Black Ops 7 Multiplayer receives several new maps and gameplay experiences.

Two of the major new locations are Quantum and Bloodstead.

Quantum takes players into a cold Arctic computing facility, while Bloodstead introduces a much darker environment filled with unexplained horrors.

The season also introduces Zombies-themed locations into multiplayer through the T.E.D.D. Trials experience.

This gives the Multiplayer side of the update a stronger connection to the Zombies theme running throughout Season 06.

Zombies Gets a New Survival Map

Zombies players have another major reason to return for Season 06.

Activision is introducing Tenshu, a new Survival map.

The season also expands the Rogue Run experience with Halloween-themed enemies and new rewards.

Pumpkin-headed Zombies will appear across Rogue Run playlists, adding another seasonal twist to the mode.

This event encourages players to move between different Call of Duty modes rather than staying exclusively in Multiplayer or Warzone.

DOOM Event Pass Adds Hell-Themed Rewards

One of the most recognizable collaborations in the update is the DOOM Event Pass.

The event brings DOOM-themed content into Black Ops 7 and Warzone.

Players can earn additional cosmetics and weapon camos through different challenges.

The collaboration fits naturally with The Haunting's darker theme while giving the season another major marketing hook.

It also provides players with an additional progression path alongside the regular Battle Pass.

The Season 06 Battle Pass features more than 100 rewards.

The new Blackjack Operator leads the Battle Pass, with additional Operator skins, weapon blueprints, emotes, calling cards and other cosmetics.

Two new base weapons are also available through the Battle Pass.

The VMP SMG can be unlocked by completing Page 3, while the TR51 Para Assault Rifle is available through Page 6.

Players can purchase the standard Battle Pass for 1,100 COD Points.

There is also a Battle Pass Bundle priced at 2,400 COD Points, which includes 20 Battle Pass Tokens.

The Battle Pass completion rewards include the Zenith Ultra Operator Skin for Blackjack, a Legendary FG42 Blueprint, 200 COD Points and additional cosmetic rewards.

BlackCell Brings More Premium Rewards

BlackCell players receive additional content during Season 06.

The premium offering includes the Revenant Operator, exclusive Operator skins and a Mastercraft weapon blueprint for the AN-94.

BlackCell also includes 1,100 COD Points, a finishing move, HUD theme and other premium items.

Additional Halloween-themed bundles are expected to appear throughout the season.

Ranked Play Returns With Changes

Competitive players are also getting seasonal Ranked Play content.

Black Ops 7 Multiplayer Ranked Play continues in Season 06 with its own progression rewards.

Warzone also receives Resurgence Ranked Play.

However, both ranked experiences have shortened seasons.

Activision says it is also testing adjustments to SR progression at higher Warzone ranks, particularly around Diamond and above.

The goal is to make high-level progression more closely reflect performance rather than simply the amount of time spent playing.

The shortened season gives Activision an opportunity to evaluate the effect of these changes before making broader decisions.
