The Saber Alter Acquisition Method: Corruption

Saber Alter is unlocked through a limited-time Boss Event, not through regular summoning. This special “Corruption” mechanic was introduced during a major update and revolves around the A.W.E. Boss—a powerful enemy found in a dedicated event stage.

Unit Requirement

Before you can begin, make sure you have the correct base unit ready:

  • Base Unit: Saber (King of Knights)
  • Rarity: Exclusive
  • Evolved Form: Saber Alter (Secret Rarity, also known as Saber (A.W.E.) or Saber (Alternate))

This is the unit that will undergo the corruption process during the boss encounter.

2. The Boss Event Process

Enter the Boss Event:

  • Go to the Boss Rush or Event Game Mode and select the Saber (Alternate) Boss Event stage.

Locate the A.W.E. Boss:

  • The boss spawns and remains stationary near the enemy spawn point during Wave 15 and Wave 25 (each appearance lasts about five waves).

Deploy Saber (King of Knights):

  • When the A.W.E. Boss appears, immediately place your Saber unit within its range.

Trigger Corruption:

  • The moment Saber (King of Knights) enters the boss’s influence, she will be “corrupted” and transform into Saber (A.W.E.) temporarily.

Chance for a Drop:

  • This transformation has a small random chance to permanently unlock Saber Alter in your inventory.

  • You typically get up to 3 attempts per full run (Wave 15, Wave 25, and possibly one more depending on the current update’s cycle).

Fastest Farming Strategy: The Reset Loop

Because Saber Alter’s drop rate is extremely low, efficiency is key. The most effective method for farming her is known as the Reset Loop.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Start the Saber (Alternate) Boss Event.
  2. Play until Wave 15 and deploy Saber (King of Knights) to attempt the corruption.
  3. If you get the drop — congrats! You’ve obtained Saber Alter.
  4. If no drop occurs, immediately restart the map instead of continuing to Wave 25.

Pro Tip: It takes less time to reach Wave 15 than to grind through Waves 15–25. Restarting after each failed attempt lets you fit in more corruption attempts per hour, making it the fastest Saber Alter farming method available.

Advanced Strategy: Using the Saber Servant

Want to push your luck further? You can use the Saber Servant mechanic to multiply your corruption chances:

  • Equip the Saber Servant: If you own this support unit, you can deploy multiple Saber units during the event.
  • Increased Attempts: This can raise your total attempts to as many as six per run, significantly improving your odds of getting Saber Alter.
