The Evolution Quest Breakdown

Evolving the Mythic Valentine unit isn’t just about luck—it’s a true multi-step grind. Each stage requires you to collect rare materials, rack up high kill counts, and invest event currency wisely. But the end result? A top-tier unit that can dominate even the toughest waves.

Stage 1: Gathering the Holy Corpse Pieces

Your first goal is to collect the pieces of the Holy Corpse, starting with the lower half.

  • Obtain the Legs/Lower Half: Complete special challenges—like reaching a specific wave in Raid or Endless mode—while using Valentine.
  • Feed to Valentine: Once earned, head back to the lobby and “feed” the piece to your Valentine unit. This triggers progress in the hidden evolution questline.

Stage 2: Buying More Holy Corpse Components

Next up, you’ll need to spend your event currency—usually Horseshoes or Raid tokens—to grab more Holy Corpse parts.

  • Purchase the Arm and Eyeballs: Visit the Raid Shop and buy both components, which usually cost around 600 Horseshoes each (1,200 total).
  • Feed to Valentine: Feed these parts to Valentine to push the quest further along.

Stage 3: The 46 Boss Kill Challenge

Here’s where the real grind begins.

  • Defeat 46 Bosses: You’ll need to take down 46 bosses while Valentine is deployed in your lineup.
  • Best Grinding Maps: Players recommend using Planet Namek – Act 4 or similar stages that spawn several mini-bosses per run (usually 5–6). Repeating this stage makes the grind much faster.
  • Earn the Skull Item: After meeting the kill requirement, you’ll receive a Skull—feed this to Valentine to obtain the Completed Holy Corpse.

Stage 4: Final Evolution

Time for the grand finale.

  • Collect Essence Stones: Gather the required Green or Rainbow Essence Stones from regular gameplay or shop purchases.
  • Evolve Valentine: Once all items are ready, evolve your unit to unlock the Secret Valentine, also known by fans as Love Train—a powerhouse evolution worth every bit of effort.
