The world of Teyvat is about to change forever. HoYoverse has officially unveiled Version 6.0, titled Luna I, and it’s more than just another update—it’s a milestone. Alongside the game’s 5th Anniversary, this patch introduces a brand-new region, a shake-up of the elemental meta, and some of the most generous rewards Genshin Impact has ever seen.

The Nod-Krai Region: A World of Moonlit Wonders

At the heart of Luna I lies Nod-Krai, the latest major region for players to explore. What sets this area apart isn’t just its design but a brand-new energy system: Kuuvahki energy. This mysterious force enhances movement, boosts combat abilities, and unlocks unique puzzle mechanics.

Exploration also gets an upgrade with Moonlanes, a new traversal method that makes adventuring across Nod-Krai faster and more dynamic. The main storyline pushes forward here too, with the Archon Quest Song of the Welkin Moon diving deep into Nod-Krai’s mysteries.

Meet the New Heroes of Luna I

The update introduces three exciting characters that redefine how teams are built:

  • Lauma (5-star, Dendro Catalyst): A powerful off-field support who introduces Lunar-Bloom, a stronger version of the Bloom reaction. Her damage scales with Elemental Mastery, making her a must-have for reaction-focused teams.
  • Flins (5-star, Electro Polearm): A flashy main DPS with access to the new Lunar-Charged reaction and a special burst mode called Manifest Flame.
  • Aino (4-star, Hydro Claymore): A support character designed to enable the new Lunar reactions, making her a key piece for those chasing meta-defining builds.

Together, these characters and the new reaction system mark the biggest gameplay shake-up since Sumeru’s debut.

Anniversary Rewards: A Celebration for All Travelers

HoYoverse is pulling out all the stops for Genshin Impact’s 5th Anniversary. For the first time ever, players can claim a free 5-star character from a pool of eight, including fan favorites like Diluc and Mona—plus the new Yumemizuki Mizuki.

Other anniversary rewards include:

  • 1,600 Primogems (10 wishes) and 10 Intertwined Fates through login events.
  • A new event, To Temper Thyself and Journey Far, that lets you earn a Constellation for a 5-star character.
  • A reset of the Genesis Crystal top-up bonus, letting players double their purchase again.

It’s a celebration designed to welcome both new and veteran Travelers with open arms.

What’s Next for Teyvat

Scheduled for September 10, 2025, Luna I also brings fresh events like Clink Clank Clash and Dodoco’s Blow-Up-Erative Bomb-Nanza, alongside new bosses and monsters to challenge. HoYoverse is even introducing a system to push character levels beyond 90 using special materials, further expanding late-game progression.

The Dawn of Luna I

Version 6.0 isn’t just a patch—it’s the start of a new chapter for Genshin Impact. With a new land to explore, thrilling characters to master, and anniversary gifts that reward the community, Luna I sets the stage for the game’s next era.
