Shakira is returning to the animal kingdom in Zootopia 2, set to release in November 2025
The news was revealed at the D23 Brazil expo, where Shakira shared a surprise video announcing her return as the singing Gazelle. In the video, she teased her character’s new look, a fresh song, and exciting dance moves, promising fans a thrilling performance alongside her tiger backup dancers.
Shakira voiced Gazelle in the original Zootopia (2016), and she’ll reprise her role alongside Ginnifer Goodwin (Judy Hopps) and Jason Bateman (Nick Wilde). New cast members include Ke Huy Quan as a slippery snake named Gary and comedian Fortune Feimster as Nibbles, a law-breaking beaver. Fans can look forward to the movie’s release on November 26, 2025.
