The trailer for 28 Years Later, the highly anticipated horror sequel, has quickly risen through the ranks to become the second most-watched horror movie trailer in history.

This third installment of the 28 Days Later franchise, directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting), serves as both a continuation and revival of the series, following 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007).

Set more than 10,000 days after the devastating zombie apocalypse that altered humanity forever, 28 Years Later explores how various groups of survivors have created settlements in the wake of the catastrophe. The trailer offers a glimpse into the new world, highlighting both the fear and resilience of those living in the aftermath.

The film stars Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Notably, Cillian Murphy, who portrayed the central character Jim in the first two films, is absent from the cast. While some fans speculated that Murphy may have made a surprise appearance in the trailer, the actor has confirmed that he will instead appear in the film as an art dealer named Angus Neill.
