Nvidia just announced a new wave of laptops with GeForce RTX GPUs that support real-time ray tracing and AI-powered DLSS. Pricing for these mobile computers for gamers and content creators is said to start at $ 799.
A common feature of these laptops will be GeForce RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti graphics cards with Nvidia Ampere GPUs with dedicated RT and Tensor cores. The new laptops are said to be twice as fast as the previous generation systems, delivering smooth 60fps 1080p gaming in popular games like Minecraft RTX and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
All RTX 30 series laptops include support for Nvidia Broadcast, an application that turns a laptop into a home studio. The use of AI algorithms allows you to eliminate echo in the room and remove noise in the image.
The GeForce RTX 3050 Ti configuration includes a GA107 GPU with 2560 CUDA cores. The GPU frequency is 1035-1695 MHz. The GDDR6 memory is 4 GB. The memory is tied to the GPU on a 128-bit bus. The GeForce RTX 3050 is based on a GPU variant GA107 with 2048 CUDA cores. This processor is clocked at 1057-1740 GHz. The memory subsystem is the same as in the older model. The power consumption in both cases is in the range of 35-80 W.
Laptops with RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti cards should be on sale this summer
