Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and will reportedly fly off to the US for his immediate medication.

Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and will reportedly fly off to the US for his immediate medication. The news broke a million hearts and social media was abuzz with messages showering Dutt with ‘get well soon Munna Bhai’ posts.

He even took to social media and with out disclosing the sickness, shared with followers that he can be taking a brief break from house and can be again quickly.

In the tweet, Dutt wrote “Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or necessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon.” According to Times of India, the 61-year-old “was recently admitted to Lilavati hospital after there was an accumulation of fluid in his lungs which was cleared and a test was done.” On August 10, he was discharged from a hospital in Mumbai after revealing that he tested negative for COVID-19.

“Just wanted to assure everyone that I’m doing well. I’m currently under medical observation and my COVID-19 report is negative. With the help and care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for your well wishes and blessings,” he tweeted after being admitted to the hospital. But, it turns out his symptoms were due to lung cancer. He has a history with lung problems after suffering a lung collapse in the 80s which he also sought treatment for in the United States. If he does not get permission to travel to the United States with ongoing COVID travel restrictions, he will look to Singapore for treatment.

His celebrity friends too are heartbroken and extended support to the actor and his family in this hour of the health crisis. Many even took to Twitter and wrote:
