The incident occurred around 2 am when the family and their staff were asleep. The First Information Report (FIR) accessed by TOI reveals shocking details. Eliyama Philip, a 56-year-old nurse employed at the household, shared her account of the horrifying encounter. She described the intruder as a man in his late 30s with a slim build and dark complexion. The attacker, armed with a sharp blade and a stick, made his way into the bedroom where Saif and Kareena’s young son, Jeh, was sleeping.

Demanding a ransom of ₹1 crore from the nurse, Eliyama refused, which led to an assault on her. She sustained injuries to her wrists and hands as the attacker tried to force compliance. This commotion woke up another staff member, Junu, who immediately raised an alarm, alerting Saif and Kareena to the danger.
