Heineken has teamed up with Bodega to introduce ‘The Boring Phone’ by HMD
HMD has unveiled an exciting collaboration that has resulted in a new phone: Heineken has teamed up with Bodega to introduce ‘The Boring Phone’ by HMD. The device promotes genuine connection by removing the distractions of modern smartphones.
Taking inspiration from Gen Z’s neo fashion, this phone removes social media and other apps, offering only the essential calling and texting features. The transparent cover and holographic stickers add a distinctive touch to this unique partnership.
Addressing the widespread problem of smartphone overuse, research shows that 90% of people remain glued to their screens even during social outings. Heineken® tackles this trend head-on with a tool designed to prioritize real-world conversations.
Based on the Nokia 2660 flip phone, it pays homage to the transparent technology of the late 80s and early 90s, reminiscent of JerryRigEverything’s Jack. Despite lacking modern features like a USB-C port and using the older BT 4.2 standard, its simplicity and transparency give it an appealing appeal.
