Disney has unveiled a new teaser for the live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch, and the mischievous blue alien is back in action.
In the 30-second preview, viewers are introduced to a picturesque Disney-style sandcastle by the ocean, only for it to be destroyed by Stitch, who comes crashing through with his trademark chaos.
Newcomer Maia Kealoha stars as Lilo in this live-action take on the beloved 2002 animated classic, set in Hawaii. Originally developed for Disney+, the film is now set for a theatrical release. The cast includes Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Sydney Agudong, Kaipo Dudoit, Tia Carrere, Courtney B. Vance, Amy Hill, Jason Scott Lee, and Hannah Waddingham. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the film follows the heartwarming relationship between Lilo, a lonely girl, and Stitch, a destructive alien experiment.
The script is penned by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright, based on a previous draft by Mike Van Waes. Lilo & Stitch will hit theaters on May 23, 2025.
