Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are officially engaged!
The couple confirmed their happy news at the EBONY Power 100 Gala on Sunday, Nov. 17, as they made a glamorous appearance at NYA Studios West in Los Angeles.
The two, who have been dating since May 2023, shared their excitement with PEOPLE, with Good proudly showing off her dazzling engagement ring. “We’re feeling great,” she said, flashing a wide smile. Majors, 35, chimed in, adding, “It’s a season of joy.”
“It’s a season of all the good things,” Good continued, as Majors enthusiastically added, “Amen.” Their joyful mood was a perfect reflection of the festive spirit surrounding the upcoming holiday season.
A Special Place for Their Announcement
The couple also shared with E! News that they chose to reveal their engagement at this particular gala because it holds special meaning to them. It was at the very same event two years ago that they first crossed paths.
“EBONY Power 100 is the event that we met at in the bathrooms, in the unisex bathroom,” Good laughed, revealing a quirky and intimate detail about their first meeting. Their chemistry clearly didn’t go unnoticed, as the two quickly became inseparable since their initial meeting.
From First Date to Engagement
Jonathan and Meagan were first spotted together in May 2023, when they were seen enjoying a movie night in Los Angeles. Their connection appeared to be instant, and in July, Good, who finalized her divorce from pastor DeVon Franklin in June 2022, opened up about their strong bond.
“We had instant chemistry,” she told PEOPLE at the time, reflecting on their quick connection. The couple’s relationship has since blossomed into a deep and meaningful partnership, culminating in this exciting engagement announcement.
