Angelina Jolie and Son Knox Rise to the Occasion to Help LA Fire Victims, Welcoming Them into Their Home
Amidst these highly destructive wildfires that are blazing through Los Angeles, many scrambled for safety to secure both property and life.
Yet, ruinous the fire was, at some instances and activities of other celebrities, one does get glimpses of hopes yet there in existence. Just one such has emerged from no less a hot icon as that of Angelina Jolie herself, joined this time by son Knox Jolie-Pitt-to extend support and hope among flames-scarred citizens.
A Mother and Son Step Out

The mother-son duo was seen in Los Feliz, California, this week as they stepped out to stock up on groceries and water bottles. Cameras captured Angelina, who opted for a long-sleeved black sweater paired with black pants and matching boots, while her hair cascaded down her shoulders. Her 16-year-old son, Knox, was right by her side, loading bags of groceries into the trunk of their car. The thoughtful mother-son shopping trip was to stock up on supplies to deliver to victims of the wildfires that have plagued the city.
As the heartbreaking wildfires continue to worsen, many residents, including celebrities, have been evacuated from their homes. In fact, the fires have reduced several celebrity estates to ashes, leaving stars like Khloé Kardashian to share that her family has been stepping in to help those in need. But for Angelina, the efforts far exceed just making donations. Angelina, with Knox in tow, was seen outside her Los Feliz grocery store stocking up on all essentials with a goal to take in and care for those less fortunate during this terrible time in her community.
“We’re Having People at Our House”
In an exclusive video obtained by The Daily Mail, Angelina was candid about one thing when questioned about the fires: her family was doing all they could to help. “Yeah, we’re having people at our house,” she confirmed, meaning they were opening the doors of their mansion to take in people hit by the crisis.
But that wasn’t it. The Tomb Raider-Lara Croft star also informed that she will be donating certain amount to fire victims. With a heart full of compassion, she expressed: “Right now I’m taking care of people close to me and having them at my house.” These heartfelt words reflect her dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of those in need—something that her son, Knox, has been an active participant in as they gather supplies together.
A Family United in Kindness
Angelina is definitely showing the extent of her empathy by the various ways she extends a helping hand, and such values have taken root within the family. Along with Knox, she shares another five kids, namely, Maddox, 23; Pax, 21; Zahara, 20; Shiloh, 18; Vivienne, 16, twin of Knox. This love-and-humanitarian-based family has their hearts set, and since so many lives were at stake from the fire, they too took to their feet.
More Celebrities Making a Difference
Angelina is by no means the only celebrity showing support since the fires started. Khloé Kardashian took to social media to share what her family has been doing in support. The reality star took to Instagram to post an emotional message, saying her family had partnered with Carousel-an Armenian restaurant in the neighborhood-to feed meals to local firehouses. “Our favorite Armenian restaurant made hundreds of singles for so many firefighters, volunteers, first responders, and we could not be more grateful!” Khloé wrote. “Thank you for putting your life on the line for all of us.”
These acts of selflessness on the part of noted celebrities like Angelina and Khloé just goes to prove that no matter how high-profile a celebrity is, there is always scope for giving out a helping hand and providing succor to people in distress.
A Ray of Hope in the Aftermath of Ruin
As fires continue to sweep across the state, it is a heartwarming sight to see celebrities taking to social media platforms and doing their bit in extending a helping hand. But for people like Angelina Jolie, giving back isn’t just about sending a check; it’s offering a roof over someone’s head, food to eat, and making sure that everyone around them is taken care of. And the example set by Jolie and others like her reminds us all that even in a tragedy, kindness and compassion lie at the heart of it all.
And as Los Angeles is rebuilt and recuperated, remember: the community rallied together and remembered that it does not matter where the generosity came from. The Hollywood elite, common people-they can all make a difference.
