Tributes from One Direction members are flooding in for their bandmate Liam Payne, who tragically passed away at 31 after falling three stories from a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday.
One Direction was a British-Irish boy band formed on the reality show “The X Factor” in 2010. The group consisted of members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson. They quickly gained international fame with hits like “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Story of My Life.” Known for their catchy pop songs and dedicated fanbase, they released five studio albums before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016. Each member has since pursued solo careers in music and other fields.

“We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing,” they wrote. “In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.”
